            The General is a 1926 American silent Action-Adventure-Comedy movie based on The Great Locomotive Chase by William Pittenger.  Buster Keatonco-directed, wrote the screenplay and co-produced the film besides being the leading star of the film. Made toward the end of the silent film era, it was not well received by the audience during the initial released. However, it is considered one of the best movie ever made in the history of cinema.
